ABOUT

Private country residence that is an annex to an existing building designed by VST engineering, now Verkís. The new construction is on three floors and consists of a sleeping loft, main living area and ground floor family space. The existing building is used as a bedroom wing and connects to the annex centrally. The house is built from precast, exposed concrete. Rough roof beams and dark steel to go with the concrete give a robust and natural feel to the space. Through a large window to the south-east, Hafnarfjall mountain stands majestically, joining the interior space with the surrounding nature.
