The project for an extension of the national hospital in Reykjavik is one of the biggest building projects in the city. A complex functional program shall be implemented into the urban pattern of small scale buildings. The project minimizes the visual part of the building mass by integrating a big part of the program into the landscape formation of terraced hill perforated with green atriums in relation to the hospital spaces.
