Drawing inspiration from workshops and traditional gathering spaces, the interior combines warm materials, Icelandic wood and custom-made elements to create a distinctly local atmosphere within the airport. A large central display inspired by the historic longfire acts as the heart of the space, while scent, sound and materiality come together to create an immersive introduction to Icelandic design and craftsmanship.
