Country Residence West Iceland

As part of an old farmstead, this rugged country home pays homage to Icelandic vernacular farmhouse building in it’s spatial arrangement. It is surrounded by magnificent views and slithering rivers. Prefabricated concrete sandwich walls and robust oak truss beams make up the shell of the building. The interior is made of tactile, authentic, non-precious materials that can withstand the realities of country living.
